When life knocks the wind out of you
Sometimes life hits so hard it feels like the ground disappears under your feet.
A loss. A diagnosis. News you never wanted to hear.
And suddenly, all the “good thoughts” and imagination work feel a million miles away.
If you’ve been there, or if you’re there right now, I want you to know something.
This isn’t about bypassing your feelings. It’s not about forcing yourself to imagine a different reality when you can barely breathe in this one.
In those moments, your only job is to care for yourself.
Let the storm settle.
Let your nervous system catch up.
Feel what you need to feel without judgment.
And then, when you’re ready, you can take the smallest step back into your spirit realm.
Not to “fix” everything, but to remember that this moment isn’t the whole story.
Your Spirit still sees the bigger picture. It still knows where this is going.
Imagination therapy isn’t about pretending pain doesn’t exist.
It’s about reminding yourself, gently, that even in the middle of it, there’s a version of you who comes through this stronger, softer, and more whole.
You don’t have to get there in one leap.
Just one tiny moment of letting yourself believe there’s more for you on the other side is enough to shift the tide.
When life feels heavy, what’s one thing that helps you take even the smallest step back toward hope?
